‘From Cradle to Grave’: Wanderlust Weddings & Events Wants to Be Part of All Your Special Days

Event producer Ali Simcho has spent years helping couples celebrate one of the most meaningful days of their lives, but for her, the wedding day is only the beginning.

Ali is the co-founder of Wanderlust Weddings & Events alongside her sister, Samantha Loshelder. 

The Wanderlust team is celebrating its 10-year anniversary with a party at The Club at Blackthorn alongside fellow industry partners like Ace Bartenders’ Anthony Cifelli, who is the new owner of The Club at Blackthorn.

Looking ahead, Ali is planning for a large summer wedding weekend at Oglebay, complete with elaborate rentals, creative florals and outdoor spaces that highlight the beauty of the season.

For Ali, planning weddings is about far more than logistics — which says a lot coming from a self-described “Type-A” planner. 

“We treat you like family because we are one,” Ali says. The sisters often stay connected with clients long after the ceremony, helping plan baby showers, birthday parties and other milestones.

In her view, “the best part of being a planner is the relationships.” The wedding itself is simply the start of that journey.

Strong partnerships with vendors — including Bistro To Go — also play a crucial role. 

My biggest love for Bistro To Go is definitely the ease of catering, the menu and the customizations that they do for all of their food,” Ali says. Beyond the food, the presentation is eyecatching: “Even just the displays, they’re grand, they’re beautiful,” Ali adds. 

That effortless collaboration is why Ali says that “Bistro is one of my favorite vendors to work with.”

After a decade of weddings, celebrations, and countless carefully planned details, Ali continues to approach each event with the same sense of purpose. For her and the Wanderlust team, a wedding is never just a single day. It is the start of relationships that grow over time, built on trust, collaboration, and shared moments of celebration.
