Combat Vacancy on the Northside

GTECH is seeking motivated individuals from Northside neighborhoods interested in learning more on how to combat vacancy within their community. Prime candidates are Northside based emerging leaders and active community citizens dedicated to positive actionable change.

ReClaim Northside is a 8 month long community empowerment program committed to combating vacancy in their neighborhood through education and green community projects. “Ambassadors” will attend 10 educational sessions focused on vacant land issues ranging from assessment, current legislation, community organizing and available funding sources.  These sessions will be Wednesday evenings from 6-8 pm, every other week from late January to mid June.

In addition to training, participants will equipped to design and implement their own Northside-based green project of their choosing. A stipend, implementation fund, and GTECH provided technical assistance will be throughout the program.
